I've just got a question about quake 3 arena. Does it work on any 3dfx card?? I have a voodoo banshee and it doesn't but I also have a riva TNT and it does. The GLsetup says there is an error when i try installing it on my Voodoo bansee machine. May it be the same for the full version of Q3A?? Any help that u could give would be great.

Hey another banshee user!

It does work on the banshee - but you need the special reference drivers from 3dfx that where written just for quake3.
Unfortunatly they seem to have removed them from their site www.3dfx.com - at least I couldn't find them this morning.
The critical file seems to be glide3x.dll, of the 5 versions I have kicking about on my PC quake3 only works with one.
If you come onto irc.barrysworld.com #farmbots I can send u the 3dfx quake3 banshee drivers.
