Just been working on a caster template, and has great stats, 101dex/int, 74 con, 264 hits, all resists 25/26 only 2 are 15/18 and 10/10/10/8 for toa bonuses
But there is no AF in it. is it worth gimping the other stats to stick in a bracer or ring with AF???
Thoughts pls

In my opinion you can ignore AF. 10 AF = ~1% damage reduction from bolts and melee damage. If you get trained it will not save you anyway and one guy bolting you means no big harm too in my opinion.

So AF is one of the last stats I'd worry about as an Alb caster. Some may disagree though.

wouldnt worry about it either personally, but i thought bolt dmg was based 50/50 on resists and AF?

always tried to cap AF in my templates, mainly due to the reason that the few things that can reach you from the opposing casters are bolts, other then that its tanks, anything to keep their damage low is good. Mainly for you to be able to survive a few hits before BG kicks in.

with new power mytherian, all you need is decent pp 20%+, high AF and high hits 350~. along with some vital resists as melee, body, cold/heat depending on realm and SC a shield and sword for the remaining magic resists.

There is a medium difference with 50 AF in templ + spec AF then just spec AF.. bolts dont tend to hurt so much and tanks are kind of funny to meat with 650 AF+
