I believe in the principles of the Wicca religion, although i was brought up in a Catholic family. Guess i just got sick of being told to fear "the big bad god" type of thingy.

Religion is a load of bullshit and ends up being a shield for a lot of the scum of the earth to hide behind whilst they commit atrocities and oppress people.

My Dad's a strict catholic and my Mother's a Christian, but they both decided not to force me into church etc. Bet they regret that looking at how I've turned out :>

Or it could be something that helps vulnerable ppl in times of need, helping to give ppl faith in tough situations etc.. IMHO

You cant really discuss this though with large audiences coz at the end of the day people believe what they do and it takes a lot of study and faith to change.

each to their own but if you arent sure look into it.

all religions seemed to get bundled into a big mass and judged where as its usually just 1 giving the rest a bad name

I didnt say "all religious people" I said " a lot of the scum of the earth".

I do think they are all bullshit, whether its nuns in Ireland repressing young women, Ayatollahs issuing Fatwahs or whatever. Its used as an excuse to commit all kinds of disgusting acts.

There's a difference between little old Mrs Miggins going to church on a Sunday and Islamic Jihad.

I was bought up in a very catholic family and actually struggled endlessly with gilt for years - rebelled and have no ph34r now - life seems so much sweeter. I have though watched my parents and seen how their faith has helped them through some incredibly tough situations. I guess its what ever floats your boat at the end of the day.............

ok, fair enough but it seems you have judged us all because of the bad ones. Not really God's fault either as hes not instructed people to commit these acts.

Once upon a time, I didn't believe in any sort of overal spiritual plan. Since then, there has been a lot of thinking, quite a lot of drugs, and I was ordained.

I'm not religious in your classic sense, everything is a bit more unplanned, less concious than some overall force controlling everything. But it helps me to put the world together in my head, so I'm keeping it.

The idea of god is a bit like drugs.

Some people use it to keep themselves together and organise their thoughts.

Other people use it to go off the rails with a reason.


Some drugs are banned, some are not.

Some religions are ....
