DivX onto cd

Lo all, ive downloaded myself a huge DivX file (about 712MB) with me new braodband connection :D but its too big to burn onto a cd, does ne1 kno how i could cut it in half or sumthing, id rather nt compress it. Cheers v much.

Er, hello.... 80min CD's ?


The groups that encode the DivX's specifically encode them to fit on those CD's. They fit absolutely fine with no overburning necessary, believe me I've burned hundreds ;)

Just get 80min CD's and burn it as it is ;)


The CD's are 700MB, and the files are usually 699MB.

You are reading the KB filesize, which shows as more...
716,090KB for example, is the filesize in my windows explorer window of this particular file, but when highlighted the sidebar says 699 ;)

80min CD's have a capacity of around 730,000k afaik...

This may be right/wrong explanation wise, but the bottom line is, all DivX files fit on 1 CD, because that is in the guidelines followed by the people that release them.
