Do you hunters out there think next patch its a better idea to pack say 50 weap (spear prolly) high end bow 50 composite stealth rest beast...

effectivly ditching the dog...

Then in most fights you get the option of cracking the FZ, pumping some CL heals, (maybe a FA too), then plunking arrows when target comes out of FZ...

I find basically the dog does fook all.... (well it cracks the odd shot in for 100+ which is always nice) but like I think being able to ping arrows and utilize FZ more would be handy..

any thoughts... what are peeps planning for their hunters...

Well I don't play hunter myself, but the disease on the doggy seems handy to me and it goes off quite often.

Dunno, celerity charge + 2h'r is still quite powerfull. Bit of a shield/parry nerf inc aswell with the patch, so only thing that remains is the ws/con debuff that needs a nerf bat swinged at.

well the poison allready to got nerfed,it used to be str/con debuff

Personally when I was on the shade, I didn't find anyone using the dog to kite, was just some additional damage. You'll still have a dog of some sort which will interrupt and from what I've seen from your playstyle that's about all you need. Just spec for the highest dps values and you'll be ok.

being able to give out good DPS with 50 sword and celerity isnt enough to win fights... you will come up against things that can match your DPS but have infinetly better defense (or things that cant make your DPS and have infinetly better defense)

Im finding FZ with CL heal spam, Heal pot and a few arrows, is something im doing a lot if I dont have IP or Purge up..

you certainly cant run around stealthed spot something and blast it down with melee... Although thats more or less how im playing... as I learn more I am trying to encorporate other things to get me wins and like I say noticed that FZ is something that you have to really utilise... You cant utilise it too much when you are all melee.

The dog counts as second attacker though and if I'm not totally wrong it reduced the chances of your target to block/parry/evade

Yes it will, but that one can then be one-shotted. Also if you fight a Vampiir he'll be able to drain lots of mana on a grey-green pet.

Another thing, do the lower pets spam disease/garrote aswell or just the high lvl ones?

Another advantage of BC is the insta s/c buff for the pet, so you get higher dps from there aswell and if you run a bit backwards to let your pet hit in the back it will hit instead of being blocked/parried, but still count as attacker. I don't know what damage your pet hits for and how easy it is to fight (never met you on BM), but maybe if you can get the pet to a better position it will help?

its only the lvl 40 and 50 ones that do styles and stuff...

I do find the pet usefull and perhaps I underestimate it somewhat.

I could not attack wardens without the lvl 40 pet for example...

A lot of solo casters that I need to pop pet as they stun would be out of bounds....

but... in most straight up dick swings.. I am using FZ more and more... problem is I dont get too much out of FZ atm with fook all bow, couple of gimpy cl heals etc...

Maybe if I start thinking about how to utilise the most out of my class though I would 39 weap 40 best 50 comp stealth rest bow.

That does not appeal to me... So I guess ill stick with fido and continue to try and bang things down the hard way.

Not to moan, but my skill-calc sais that with 40BC, 39weap and 33stealth (you're RR7, right?) you can still get 40bow, which should be ok, or not?

You can even go 35bow and 43weapon =)
