Ive just been playing on a Barrysworld public CS server, map was Seige i joined it about half-way through. Anyway i joined Ct's and got on with it, im not a awesome player but i consider myself to be a fairly decent one. Anyway back to the point, first round i got 3 kills. Second the same and so on, when i got to about 13/3 i started getting abuse by [n.D]Shinobi. Every kill i got it was;

"cheater!! you fuckin lame cunt"
"Yeah yeah nice wallhack, fuckin fag"
"Wow, you've got a good aimbot"

Not forgetting getting flash-banged on purpose every 30 seconds

Now ive had this a few times of various ppl, at first i just ignored them and let them get on with it. However its starting to draw me away from the game. I can explain every my actions for every comment he made;

1) Wallhack - What gave him this impression was when i went round corners i jumped/strafed/ducked or do whatever as every experienced player will know you have to treat it as if there is a enemy behind every corner.

2) Aimbot - After alot of CSing you begin to perfect your aim, i wasnt getting headshot after headshot infact i think i only got one. And what did he want me to do? miss on purpose.


Tbh i can't see this crap stopping, "cheater" is a word used far too much now-adays on the pubs, i know there are alot of them about but it doesn't give you the right to abuse every player with a decent score it also seems the experienced/good players get flamed everytime they go on a publics ive seen it happen so many times. Sometimes i think it would be best to deactivate chat appart from clan games.

Kinda makes you wish pc's and the internet hadn't been pushed for family use so much.

Doesn't take too much of a genius to realise that after the 'family' have had the pc for more than 3 months, it's general use becomes the sole purpose of entertament for there 13-14 year old son.

Yeah, i can understand that these youngsters speak before they think, but still im not just talking about Shinobi. I'd be willing to bet that a few mature players have done the same. I can also see why they do it, when i get killed and i think there was something suspicous about the frag i don't abuse the player i just accept the fact ive been killed no matterhow it makes your score look. My suggestion is put a word ban "cheat(er)" on the servers - Or maybe not Maybe i am winging too much and theres probably alot more ppl who get shit but it seriously aint kosher, don't get me wrong i do love a good flame just not half way through a game. This topic wont stop all this cheating business and the acusing im simply saying something needs to be done or someone needs to take action before it esculates even more.

The problem is, so many people are newbies to gaming, and the net as a whole. Now even if they're ok at CS, if they've never played anything else, then they're gonna be thick as a brick.

TBH, when i'm on form i find myself hitting anything that moves, and really good players allways play like this, and some people just can't accept this.

My main oppinion is thus: Dont moan about cheats. It's wrong as half the people accused aren't cheating, and half of them aren't even slightly suspect. A cheat is only as good as his reactions and his intelligance. If you play your own game, then a cheat who is trying not to get caught shouldn't affect you alot. Kurt, when you cheated you found that more people were chetaing than you realised. Now if you'd played for that long without knowing this, then how can you not play knowing this?

Oh well, i've not played CS for a while anyways. TFC is much more fun, and having not played it for several months, it's really fresh and exciting again.

I used to play TFC ALOT - i give you 3-5 months, its worse than CS for this kinda stuff m8

I've been playing it for longer than that, just not for a few months. The only thing that annoys me at all in TFC is soldiers. People bitch about HWs, and it's normally soldiers that do this, yet the soldier is more powerful, and indeed overpowered imo.

Aye Darker, got it in one I always thought to myself that if a newbie wanted to join the BW's community and play on their servers they should undergo a trial perihod where they get interviewed and are monitored on the servers, but BW's is such a massive games network it would be impossible. I suppose everyones just got to accept that there is cheaters and ppl who fly off the handle when killed, thats been said before hundreds of times in the past months. Just wondering when people are going to start accepting it.

The reason peeps scream cheat at first sight is a combination of inexperience and the fact that there are shit loads of peeps that do cheat. So therefore, decent players get caught in the crossfire.

I normally find myself on the wrong end of a 0-15+ score until I've had a hour or so to warm up, and I try to bite my lip, but when the same 2 or 3 people (it used to be 1) keep capping everybody else despite well laid ambushes and the fact that they can only see your big toe IF they had binoculars, it does paint a different picture to them being just "good".

Recently I have noticed an increase in cheat accusers, and am so bored of it that I usually just respond with "no I don't" and if that doesn't shut them up I give them the directions to the BW irc channel and tell them to get an admin in if they have a prob and to stop accusing without proof. Unfortunately usually by this time my game has turned to turd and the luck bubble I must have been in has burst.
