I know i started a topic earlier but i am looking for some proper moulded ones rather than disposables

So any recommendations of where to get discreet music earplugs made and what brand to get would be much appreciative

I don't want anything uber expensive but a reasonable pair, particularly interested in the views of our resident music junkies into drum and bass (sparx where art thou :D)

Cheers all

I looked into this after I read your last thread.. Here in Denmark you can just book an appointment at your ear doctor and he'll take a mold of your ear and you'll have new earplugs within a week

They were about £150 or so and from reading other fora they seemed to be top notch

Why not try the Earplug Shop.

No idea if they're any good... just love the name. It really gets the point across. :)

Comets x 1 Pair With Lanyard - Moldex - Noise Earplugs - Earplugshop

i use a slightly higher priced pair of these and i've used them for years playing gigs, touring etc a lot and they have never failed me. highly recommended. can't find exactly the ones i use but i think if you're just using them for clubbing etc these would be perfect.

a lot of places give out free disposable ones now though don't they? those ones are definitely more than fine, but don't use them more than once or twice at a push :p

edit; i think around £10-20 is a reasonable price to play for a really good pair

edit 2; found them! http://www.earplugshop.com/shopping...ymotic-research/er-20-high-fidelity-earplugs/

I have the E-20's now but find them extremly uncomfortable after a hour or so, so am looking for moulded ones as they are suppose to offer better protection and be more comfortable.
I also found that the E-20's lost ALOT of the bass, far more than i was expecting after reading reviews of this happening

in all honesty i don't think i've ever had mine in for more than 40 mins so that makes sense. unless you're willing to pay quite a bit more (i think professionally moulded ones are about £50+) then maybe it's worth buying disposable ones in bulk? i always use those free disposable ones at gigs and have them in my ears for like 3 hours or so without any pain.

definitely don't mess with your ears though, if earplugs are causing you pain then stay the hell away from that model/brand :p
