I get complete CTDs (Crash To Desktop), the game just suddenly ends and I return to Windows, normally when I've got someone right in my sights too

No, its probably better you "CTD" coz even tho you "Have him in your Sites" he would probably still getcha

I can't say I've noticed anyone disconnect as you say.
I have connected & had to rejoin a couple of times, for 2 reasons:
a) I'd left a download going and had to go stop it
b) I'd forgotten to launch PSP (multiple screenshots - cos I dunno how the fuck to bind a key to it in bf )
It's only 'crashed to desktop' for me a couple of times, and that wasn't bf's fault - it was other apps deciding they just *had* to come to foreground and b0rking it.

I get disconnect Embattle, i find that if i lag for more than 5 or so seconds i get booted back to the browser...
It happens more if there are 8 players+ on the server.
