Disc Access

HI
Can any one help i get a sudden disc access In tribes after playing for a while which slows the system to a crawl each movement of the mouse causing it to get worse(lasts from 20 secs to a min ).
I have checked everything which is running and there is no unnessasary software up.
no virus checker or other system software.
icq is running in invisable mode with alerts turned off allthough turning it off completly dose'nt help either.

No m8 I dont have find fast in there or anything else ...but thnx for the reply..
its a fairly good old system
128mb ram
p2 300
16 mb VD3 2000
8 gigs of HD space WEith 4 gigs Spare.

it alwasy happens at that crucial moment like about to get creamed and need to fly ..

Don't no if this helps, but my system
has the same problem when the CD music
box under options/sound is ticked.

Ok.. The problem was a memory utiity called Memturbo that i had set to agresivly to recover ram..

the Memturbo help team sussed it out apart from this its a excellent peace of kit that i recomend i run it just before agame now and the disable it and all is well..
