Well, depends, in my case, i just go. It's all good, and what comes comes, and what goes goes.
Usually they go after i come, but anyway.
If you want a direction, then you need to find out what would make you go "it's been fun", when you're about to bite the big one. If you're happy with what you've accomplished, what you've made, what you've mhmhmmh, then fine.
So, decide what do you want to do, aim for it and do it. Then flip the bird at death and say "come get some".

Has already been said. But you need to do something you enjoy doing.
If you don't like work, find a job doing something that interests you.

As soon as you realise the most important thing to do is make yourself happy then you will get on alot better. If you have no responsibilies i.e. a wife and kids then just do what makes you happy.
Money is so easy to come by and lose, dont waste your life trying to get it

I know someone who joined the navy, then bummed around for 30 years seeing the world getting laid, getting stoned, smuggling a bit of weed to make some cash, doing jobs in the various countrys he stayed in, and now he's a plasterer living in East London. To him, he's had the best life. He's great to talk to. So laid back.

Do not waste your youth in some boring job/classroom because someone else expects you to do it. Enjoy your life now and do what you want to do, settle down later. You'll be nothing but bitter if you dont.
