Could anyone point me at a decent website that explains about and reviews digital cameras? Am looking for something a bit like adslguide.co.uk, but for digital cameras ofc. I need to know a little about them before purchasing.

Damnit Ch@meleon, now you've got me all interested in buying a digital camera. In fairness, it really didn't take much to push me over the edge.

I'm looking at either the Canon Ixus V3 or the Sony DSC-P9. Any comments on these from anybody would be appreciated.

i've got a p9, its a very nice camera in good light, but when it starts to get a bit dark it goes a bit mad, and you cant tinker with *all* of the settings like shutter speed etc like you can on other (cheaper) cameras. given the choice, for the budget i wouldnt get another one, but then again, i just like sony stuff.

Nikon coolpix 850 if you can still get hold on one.

Around £350. Probably the best budget camera I have used. You can fiddle with almost any setting.

The problem with the cheaper sonys is that the lenses are usually a bit shit.
