Different weapons pro's/con's

What is your opinion regarding the different weapons that are available to mids. Which would you as a warrior/skald/thane specc in and why.

How high would you go if you specced in Axe/Hammer/Sword and why.

Well everyone seems to think that the 50 axe style is the best of the 3. If your char isn't going 50 weapon tho I guess it just depends on your targets and your sense of style. My thane has a hammer, it seemed fitting for a priest of Thor, and its good against alb plate so if I have time to pick I go for that after the healers/casters are dead (hopefully).

If you are considering resist types, go either slash dmg type weapon (sword or axe).

If you want good styles, go axe or hammer.

IMO, provoke (hammer style) > other any time styles. That's the only reason I've stayed hammer.

<-Uses provoke all the time. No nerf as far as I can tell.

Provoke gives u a M- defence penalty for next round tho.....better to use engage (to make a "block") then use a block based combo like Revenge (short stun) -> Thor's Answer (long stun)

U might say this is hard in RvR....try again, u will get the hang of it.

PS: ^^ Is much beter than Slam -> Provoke -> Provoke, endurance wise.

as an anytime, suppose its ok, as long as no one is hitting you back (what usually happens in RvR)

For 1 on 1 encounters, it's a bad choice

And you might think about the overall crush nerf. With the armor resist that where added a few patches ago.

I'd say go 44 weapon coz I think it's the best use of points but if you need those points for stormcalling or battlesongs or whatever 39 is just fine, you'll lose a few styles but you'll still have 50 with +11 from items.
