OK right now im 3000 kilometers away from my ADSL connection but i have my DaoC CD with meh. I have abstained from the game too long so im going to try run it at 56k connection.

So this is my question do you think ill be able to play, without participating in heavy RvR with such connection ?
A little add-on im in Eastern Europe right now so how bad do you recon my connection is going to be ?

PS: I didnt want to post it here but due to the fact that Technical Help Forum is virtually dead i thought i would get more replies through here

should be fine the only problem is the download of the patches on the 56k will take longer apart form that should be fine
other than that even in RVR you should be fine it will slow down due to the graphics engine more than lag

56k works fine, I wouldn't recommend relic raids but for normal pve/rvr it's fine.

Yep, I've been playing 56K since release and it's fine. Most lag-like problems in RvR are framerate, not lag. Even when playing DSL the game's only transmitting info at a rate that a 56K connection could handle pretty easily. You will get more packet-loss and lower ping, but it's definitely playable (or I would have given up by now).

56k is fine for PvE and RvR at Keep takes and mini battles surrounding the keeps.

Just don't do Relic Raids. <shudder - very slowly and 5 minutes after the chill.>

Thanks guys Now im just gonna have to spend ages downloading the 28 meg patch, no biggie
