So anyway it was a tossup between DMC3 and GT4. As gorgeous as GT4 is I am just really bored of driving games.

So I pick this up yesterday for 30 quid. First impressions are WOW. Although I do have one problem. It my be because it's capcom or it may be the fact I am getting old but it seems hardcore. Definitely the hardest of the series.

Saying that I have always found capcom games the most challenging. Plugging my way through Maximo Vs Army of Zin atm which is verging on undiluted frustration.

Anyway. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

DMC was fantastic, loved it.

DMC2 I never went near because everyone and their brother said it was utterly rubbish but I cannot remember why.

Is DMC3 non-rubbish? :p

It is most definitely non-rubbish. It's just hard. So hard that it gave me the option to switch to easy mode half way through a boss fight :(

I honestly couldnt believe it. I didnt accept no and I am determined to nail the bastard on hard now.

On another note it's one of the most gorgeous ps2 games out. Gives MGS3 a run for it's money.

When I saw the demo and a bit of the full game on my mates ps2 I didn't think it looked a great deal better than the previous two. However, I could be competley and utterly wrong. And I probably am.

Yeah, great game this. Always loved the way Dante struts his stuff with the dual revolvers blazing. The opening cut scene with the pool balls was top notch too.

I've been playing on easy as I want to actually see the levels. May come back to it (with a different style) if I can be arsed.

Top game. Less difficult than many other games in this genre though, I think you all suck. Especially leggy.

It is actually meant to be the hardest in the series - especially the last level:

Where you have to fight ALL the previous bosses in the game once more in one long slog to get to the final boss!

Finished 1 twice - thought it was absolutely ace. 2 was ok, but a bit crappy - there was fuck all plot and seemed to be a lot of running around fighting Bosses every 5 mins for no discernable reason.

Should get 3 in a few months time and see what it's like - determined to finish 2 first though.

dmc3 is soooooo good.
using swordmaster atm on easy only done 1st 2/3lvls. was a ass to try and dot that ice cave dog thing... i couldnt avoid any of its attacks i would jump dodge using trickster etc but it always hit me, so i just died over an over....
swordmaster seems kool tho.
any1 tried the last 1? cant remember name. like guard or something. my reckoning its probably gonna be the hardest style to use but the best if u can. they always do 1 like that. i tried but found it impossible to try and defend in fights cept towards the end where only few enemies left... so made it abit redundant for me when i can use swordmaster to slash an hack from start to finish... and the sword spinny thing just looks kool.
