Deus Ex? Still the best FPS ever?

I got home at around 10pm last night, needing to waste an hour or so i desided to install one of my 'old' games and found Deus Ex.

Can't believe i didn't play this for so long, such a good game.

If you like rpg's and don't mind playing FPS's give this a try.

Deus Ex is still my favourite FPS

Far Cry is fun in a different way though (hang gliders )

I agree Bubble, it's awesome. I played it for a couple of weeks after i took a break from Daoc. Such fun, especially all the sneaking around

Used to love quake 3, tho it died pretty mutch, not a lot playin it etc, moved ut2003/4 etc i guess
Also loved max payne 2, tho it's singleplayer

Well, graphichs would be shit, as would the gameplay, the sound and pretty much everything else compared to anything these days.

best FPS was TFC, halflife death match must be second best i played...

counterstrike never did it for me, i didnt like the style, i want fights where you have to shoot enemies flying through mid air (while flying through mid air yourself) and actually can have a battle (being able to absorb multiple rockets etc) and not the 'bang bang, you or me = dead' CS fights, to dull for me :\

Shame Deus Ex didn't have a multiplayer mode when i first played it.

I agree, that would've rocked. One of the things i enjoyed most about Deus Ex was it had a unique plot, although soon after release its popularity rocketed and other games were released with a similar/identical plot which were nowhere near as good .

Killing Anna Navarre (sp?) was the single most satisfying point in that game

i killed her as soon as possible shot her in the head with the sniper on the plane before she killed the resistance leader, Alex's comments were funny, JC what the hell! That was Agent Navarra! I'm going to have to remove this from the logs.
