Desperately need help!!!!!!

I am desperate this only started happening recently, but when i try and join servers it connects and loads and at the end once its all loaded, the game closes itself and my PC returns to the desktop, any reasons for this?

ill be greatful for any responses, its a brand new machine and i am really annoyed!!

It could be a few things, but you havent by any chance changed your refresh rate on your pc have you ?
If you have you need to go into BF1942 and change allowallrefreshrates to "1" .

sounds like your game version is out of date
this happens when either bf is not the correct version or the mod isnt

the problem occurs when i try and join BF:GC servers, i think i have the 0.1b patch applied properly!!
