Heyas, I was wondering whether anyone else is having the same problems as I am with DC. I know it's beta etc, but it seems to run a lot slower than standard BF1942, frame rates are about 2/3 slower.
I'm running on the very edge of the system requirements (P3 600, 256 RAM, GF3), but is this being caused by DCs 'betaness', conflicts with my pc, or is my pc just too crap?

yeh its freakily jerky on my pc too

It was pretty jerky on my old 1.3ghz athlon, nice and smooth since I upgraded though. Think it's time you ditched that P3 ;P

It's a bit jerky on one map here (Market Garden) and only when you're flying a helo. Bizarrely it's still jerky even if I take the helo so high that all that's being rendered is fog and I'm the only one on the server.

Hmm, i can't seem to get DC to load up..

install it, then i load the .exe,
Get the bf1942 logo for 5 seconds, then am still stuck at my desktop..

If i try load DC from inside bf1942, i get a nice crash to desktop..

i had that problem... did u install any custom maps or anything?
i did and it made a subdir inside the map folder and bf didnt like it... took it out and it fixed all

check the properties of the DC shortcut and change them, if necessary, to...

"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\BF1942.exe" +game DesertCombat +restart 1

...providing you have installed bf to its default location.
