As I recall, ZDnet were on the verge of collapse a while back too, and many people from gamespot and ZDnet's other sites were fired.

I used 3DFiles exclusively when I first started online, with my trusted Voodoo 2 SLI.. I even remember going to http://www.3dfxmania.com almost every day (even today I never used http://www.3dfiles.com, I always used http://www.3dfxmania.com )
