We had a perfectly good penalty turned down in the first half as well as a pefectly good goal disallowed. However we were very poor in defence and certainly played poorly enough to warrant conceding four altho James was responsible for one of them. You certainly deserved to win especially when you consider how many Danish player did/do play in England not like we didn't know the opposition!

Well done btw good luck in Istanbul :)

Will certainly need it, 4th in group :(

Apparently thats the worst defeat England have taken in 25 years, also the first time we beat you at home..

Ah well, that will be the end of us, terminal underdogs that dont get taken seriously till we open wupass when you dont expect it. Now it'll be expected and welll..... Blah.

Watching as many DK games as I can tho, and thats the best I have seen them play for a long while.

THEY EVEN DID LOTS OF BACKHEELS! :eek2:

We could do with one too! Kirkland for the long term Robinson for the next season or two I'd think is prudent.

Excellent article about some of the failings of the English Premier League (amongst other things) at http://football.guardian.co.uk/comment/story/0,9753,1551650,00.html

England have been shocking in friendlies for Sven from day one, but last nights game was particularly poor. To my mind it sums up the problems we have under this manager: he has his favourites and will play them no matter what, and they know that. At least it proves its not only a characteristic of our native managers.

It also shows the problems we have with our top division -- dominated by overpaid and, for the most part, undereducated footballers. The same teams competing for the top prizes every time, the same faces eligibile to play for England every time.

It's no co-incidence that the SPL, which has been dominated by just two clubs for years also has one of the worst national teams in the world. So bad that McBodhi and his clan take more enjoyment from a piss poor England showing than their own wee brave lads achieving a magnificent (for them) 2-2 result away to mighty Austria.

A more competitive league leads to a greater choice of players which, even with a manager as miopic and biased towards his favourites as Sven is, would surely lead to new faces breaking through and pressure being put on the present incumbents.

/rant off

Well no, I was taking enjoyment from England losing because this thread is about the England team, didn't see Scotland mentioned anywhere, hence I didn't well up in pride for a good away showing with most of our big players missing.

Anyway remind me what happened last time you played "One of the worst national teams in the world"......didn't you lost 1-0 on home soil?

Oh and I've just seen your beloved Villa are after Miccoli......can't think of a more deserving team for the poison dwarf to end up at tbh.
