How is it possible to make a Demo a .avi to view with MediaPlayer etc?

Does it increase the Filesize Dramatically?

thats pretty much what he asked, so ur 'solution' is his question

Thats how to make it smaller than a normal avi, so therefore answers a small part of the question. The rest is just a comment.

It makes the demo bigger yes, as the demo file is just an instruction set that HL "plays" and loads all textures etc from the host machine, thus saving space and whatnot, this is also why demos view differently on different machines. With video you have to store all the data so it is obviously bigger, for a 640x480 good quality divx your looking at 60mb for 2minutes, ish
