Defensive Lurihero Wep Choice Advice

Im making a more offensive tank for rvr so Im gonna respec my lurihero out of CS to a defensive s/s spec for a rvr guarding role and pve fun:

50 1H
50 Shield
28 Parry

I need advice on what wep to choose.

Pierce styles suck as best ones come off evade which heros dont do much of. As a defensive tank in rvr I will be up against enemy tanks rather than support so would blunt be a better choice for styles and against plate etc?

Thoughts appreciated esp from luri s/s heros - cheers

I'd take a sword seems to have the best styles to work off.

Many say blades suck tho - most classes wear plate or chain so pierce or blunt better imo.

Pierce has great anytime chain
Blunt has good reactionarys

I chose pierce for my luri defensive hero, dmg isnt the greatest, but if your going for defensive, dmg isnt your forte anyhoo

pierce has good positionals, good anytime chain, a from block style, and you have shield for reactionary already, and if someones beating on you, blocking is what your gonna be doing mostly anyway.

Go with want you want, as mythic are currently rejigging the whole style balliwick, things may change significantly.

Pierce as a luri due to the high dex they got. Slash should be pure str based.

Go pierce, then can with 50 sheild do brutalize + tarantulla....and if you like it for pve you dont want your block style doing stun :<

Also for pve nice to only have taunt and block style if you want for main tank for pve

Though positionals of pierce are nice.

I did a blunt one, use anytime sucks so just had to use tuant which didn't do much dmg...the block chain is pretty crap with stun immunity "working as intended" feature, same as lvl 21 in blades block style. The parry chain is nice from blunt, and there is a nice slow blunt weapon for hero from galla, but then best to hqave 42 sheild and 39 parry for more parry...but then thats useless in rvr

Main good thing about blades is the use anytime is actually decent (on hib standards anyways, its nothing compared to mid/alb ones) still stun immunity on block unless you use the lvl 2 chain :<
