Defective Xboxes

The Associated Press spoke with about a dozen Xbox users who said the console never worked or soon froze up

One question, was it a BSOD

Well anybody who thinks buying an X-Box now that this kind of unreliability has been confirmed, Halo or no, should be shot.

Much as it grates me to defend microsoft, every report I have seen about the x-box locking up has involved either a scratched disc or a development box (any screenshot you see of a green screen of death is a development box).

The fact is, if you ship 4 or 5 million machines, 20 or 30 defective machines is a very low failure rate.

I thought the old 'hate' microsoft thing was old hat now, and nobody botherd with it.

Ewans right, 20 or 30 units out of 4-5 million or whatever sounds very low.

But hey it microsoft so why not

Whats bigger and better than everything else deserves to be bagged by lesser folk i spose

The failure rate is higher than 20-30 and MS have only shipped 1.5 million so far. So it's a bit more worrying than you think. But then, apparently I hate M$ aswell, simply cos I;d rather have a PS2

i dont mind M$ anymore, but only because the finnaly brought out a quite decent OS, also make good keyboards

I saw the report and the funny thing was at the end of it, it said nintendo had a simular rate of returns as microsoft.


Ill buy neither anyway, pointless as i don't even enjoy my ps2.
