Just thought I'd post about this very nice little game from Introversion (Darwinia anyone?).

Available on Steam for a tenner or thereabouts, basically its online wargames. The object is not to win, but to lose the least. Which you do by stopping people launching nukes at you, and nuking their cities in return. All very nice.

Anyhow, here:

Theres a free demo version available for you to try, which lets you participate in 1v1 matches (either against a person online, or against the computer), includes a tutorial and everything you need to get started. It looks complicated but actually its dead simple really.

Introversion are bloody ace. First Darwinia, then this. What next I wonder?

It's Tom, what did you expect Callous. Everything he sees on the internet has to be posted in general.

Just a rip-off idea from nuclear war(Amiga) and done in a boring way.

Can't believe the "hype" it gets for being an "innovative and new" idea :eek7:

I think Tom is working for introversion software, he even had official screenies and not his own! What a skank!

Mine tend to show images of my nations in radioactive ruins, with blasted fleets and wasted airbases :(

I've always liked games like Civilisation etc - games that don't rely on graphics, but gameplay. If you're into strategy and moving your pieces around on the board, and enjoy watching the devastation caused by your pieces, then you'll love it. If you're more into RPGs, or FPS, it might not be for you. Anyhow, the demo is free and works over steam, so give it a go. I love it.

I do try :p

Today however Im far more cheerful.

Scotland beat the froggies and Schumachers engine went bye-bye - what more could I ask for? Oh yeah, England failing to beat some noddy non-team :)

quite an amusing little game.

the sheer simplicity is what makes it so complex imo.
