Lo all,

I'm aboot to get a new system {}, but I haven't decided on the graphics card. Here are the specs:

Athlon 1.3ghz
256mb ram
DVD/CD/CD-RW
etc.

I have a choice between the Geforce 2 GTS/Pro, Geforce 2 Ultra and Geforce 3. I was thinking about getting the GF2Pro cos it's cheaper and then waiting for the GF3MX to come out (6 to 9 months time). I'm not sure about the Ultra because it's too much to buy and It'll only be there till the GF3MX arrives. Any advice?

Add a supra express (external and not usb) to that list to ensure a good gaming ping

No, i'm not getting an Ultra, it's a waste of money that a gfx card so good will go to waste when/if I get a GF3MX.

on seconed thought, you should wait for the nforce motherboards to arrive, those will be supreme when it comes to AMD, it has built in data-prefetch and has isyncronis data transfer for those avid online gamers. You just need to combine it with an athlon4 1.5ghz and a radeon 2.

nForce have integrated gfx don't they ?

nforce aint shit it may have intergrated graphics but its a geforce 2MX and since it will have the bandwidth of AGP x6 it will not be limited for memory, it also will have a dolby 5.1 stereo capable sound card intergrated which is much better than any of the soundblaster range, Nforce is basically the best you can have.

erm sblive 5.1 has dolby 5.1 stereo :| and the hercules game theatre has 5.1 and can do 6 with the processor it has should that need ever arrive...

nforce does sound juicy but I reckon it'll be ages to come out :\ and they could have stuck a geffer 3 in :/
