Well you might want to try local shops and some of the bigger chains but most of them are not decent IMO since they charge considerably more than they cost online.

Online is the way to go.. wither that or go to a Computer Fair

Any recommendations for online shops then, considering that:

  • E-buyer no longer seems to sell GF4 Ti4200s, and
  • Dabs no longer accept my lowly Switch card

?

Scan is probably my favourite at the moment.

Very quick and never had a problem with the couriers they use.

Neither Switch or Solo currently use the AVS system which is designed to check your address against your Card thus Dabs can't accept it ;)

that AVS is annoying... someone give me link to a site called Faceparty... you lot probably heard of it, but that AVS ruins it :/

Yeah, I've heard about Visa having better security than Switch. However, I can't get a Visa card until late August when I get accepted to Uni. So it's either wait until then or find another retailer.

Hang on, he's asking about shops not online retailers.

Find your nearest PC World and phone them up to ask whether they have a Ti4200 in stock. TBH, seeing as you're after one product dig out the Yellow Pages, find computer suppliers in your area and phone them up.

Which I already answered in my first reply, like Sum says try PCWorld although it don't change the fact they cost a lot more from retailers.

WAIT!!!

Given that you live on the right side of the country go to CCL in between Bradford and Leeds...

www.cclcomputers.co.uk

Top notch place bought fair amount of kit off them in the past and they are very well priced... Just phone them up with your order and it will be ready for collection within the hour. They are really a mail order / online retailer but have a counter where you can collect stuff.... just avoid going on saturdays can be very very busy.
