Debuffs and mezz

Hrm reading over at the sorcerer boards ... apparently debuffs don't (or no longer....) break mezz in RvR (or in duels anyway)

Anyone care to test this? I'll try and remember to do some tests in pve to see if it's changed there (they _definitely_ used to break mezz in pve)

They were definitely breaking mezzes in PvE two days ago, cos I use them to pull targets to tanks that I've mezzed in aggro areas.

been using my theurgist debuff to pull mezzed gobs in lyonesse,

maybe its root you are thinking off? or its a later patch

anyways debuffs are insta so you can hit it mid cast on your mezz (rendering the whole arguement somewhat pointless)

unless its something to do with resist debuffs?

have to get a body sorc to try a heat debuff on a mezzed mob...

Tested that debuff after mezz in a duel.

First mezzed the cleric.

Then debuffed him 3X to be sure, saw every time that he was weaker msg.

And he was still mezzed.


So now I m debuffing all and everything

Hrrrm...it's not something I'd want to test in open RvR. Duels are kinda freaky though...like the block/parry rate and so in is different.

It's possible to AoE debuff whilst mezzing anyway. Resist debuffs are not worth casting randomly...best to wait to see those blue/red flashing effects on some enemy before using it.
