Mulholland Dr. is very very mindfucky. None of it makes any sense at all.

Except it all totally does.

I've seen two out of those three, and yes I'm sure I've never seen a Lynch movie.

Your bad? You're fucking awful. Se7en was directed by David Fincher and RoboCop/Starship Troopers was directed by Paul Verhoeven.

Does it take years of training to be so utterly and unfathomably wrong?

It can't take that much practice, or your stupid unemployed arse wouldn't be so adept as being that much of a twat.

Yes, I got it wrong. Yes, I also said this. Wow, you must be great to never get a single thing wrong! I wish I could be you!*

* not even remotely true.

heh, if you think I'm actually getting upset, you quite completely misunderstand. You, are stupid. This I can't actually express in words clear and definitive enough.

I do however, enjoy banter and baiting people. Quite clearly its been shown that I'm pretty good at both...

I can only think of one David Lynch film and thats Dune, can't believe you thought seven and robocop were his work too. What next The terminator, star wars?

Anyway back to the topic before the childish name calling comes into play. I watched a film the other day called the bunker, similar to deathwatch except it was ww2 and was about Germans (played by Englishmen) making a stand in an anti tank bunker but the tunnels beneath them are haunted, Deathwatch was better and made me think, the storyline was a bit shit and hard to follow even after you'd seen it but it was very well acted in my opinion.

I think and Im not 100% sure on this that all the soldiers were already dead and had died in the earlier battle sequence. In the trench they were being tested and only Shakespeare was worthy, then the next bunch come in and it starts again.

Did anybody spot the historical inaccuracy at the end of the film?

Deathwatch....

My m8 just got a DVD player, so he bought Deathwatch (and others) and I went round to watch it. I have to say that deathwatch was mildly pants. A spooky tale & a few chilling moments, but lacked pace & direction. My m8 will be taking it back to the shop.

As for the plot, yes I thought they had died in the gas attack. The mist/fog represented their passage to a 'limbo' place between life and death. I think they were trapped there by this entity, represented by the german soldier, who wanted to judge them. Those that failed the test were trapped there.

Err, or maybe not???

:D

Just watched it and the begining gives it all away. but there are some odd things with the story. we are never told wot the bible basher hears on the radio, or how he suses things out. or how come shakesspear sees him self with the others who are all dead.

oh does anyone know what GEFANGENENGMBEN means?

Shakespeare uses a sub machine gun to kill Quinn but although sub machine guns were around at the time they weren't used on the battlefield to avoid the Germans getting hold of one, also Charlie just seems to pick it up from the ground as if it had been discarded.
