Dear God! A dedicated server patch!

Apparently. Though not officially released.

Version 1.58 apparently has support for a dedicated server. A year too fucking late, but there it is.

All the info I have (and this is all) is on here. Looks better for future expansions, I suppose and if there's ever an OpFlash 2 then maybe it'll have decent multiplayer out of the box.

Heh, dedicated servers have been available for a while. What 1.55 and later versions (still beta) do, is change the netcode away from DirectX nonsense, allowing a Linux server. Still no rcon though, that's the main thing holding it back.

I think I'm allowed to plug Games Domains excellent dedicated servers, since Barrysworld do not have any running.

Yeah Ive played on them, they do actually work
I still get the odd player disappear from one location and turn up in front of me though
What anoys me most is when you go on there, the game hasnt started yet, so yay ! Im in! then ... nothing, just some french blokes having a chat.

Actually, Games Domain are now running version 1.58 on their servers, so I'll be upgrading tonight.

Btw I was talking to a bloke on a cs server the otherday who claimed to work for codemasters, and he reckoned there was a Op Flash 2 in the pipeline.
(I realise this may all be bollocks but ther you go )

Well, after Resistance, no more work is planned on Operation Flashpoint. It's been a very sucessful game, so you never know.

Since buying me new pc I started Op flash again, still on gay cadet mode Im afraid
But this is such a good game for single player. I also installed RtCw and havent played hardly any of it, just cant be bothered.
But on opf, well it looks even better on me GF4, Im now up to the tank bits. Ive enjoyed it so much I even didnt play Cs so much last night omg
