Well..... it's becoming that way for me. T2 just has very little appeal left. Because:

1) Publics don't have the same amount of teamwork that T1 publics used to have.

2) The only servers that are ever really full are the Katabatic ones.

and

3) It's pretty hard to play anything but CTF or Siege. (CnH was great when the game was first released). And I don't know about you lot - but CTF is becoming pretty fucking boring now


Variety is the spice of life "they" say. T2 is the "beans on toast" of gaming nowadays.

What really pisses me off is that I can't seem to find another multiplayer game that has even half of T2's appeal!

/me wonders about quitting multiplayer gaming......

I think it should all start to heat up again with the re-release. I think the fact that Sierra has seen that Tribes 2 has a future is a pretty big bonus. Even the last couple of months have seen server number increase...

But this is only my opinion

I agree about not knowing what game to go for next, there is nothing as 3 dimensional As T2 out there. and CS has gone to like quake for my liking.

I think the team side is fart beter in T2 than T1.

Yur right its hard to find new games that motivate me to play them wheres the imagination ...

Would like to see more maps!!
The CM server never has any players when i am online, cant someone add the x pack maps or unnamed maps to the rotation for a while?

CS blows now, so do all other HL based games. Q3, RTCW, JKII and so many more are just too laggy on a 56K.

Tribes is great fun, even with my ping so i dont want to see it die through lack of players.

They also need to publish a list of maps that are on there, I tried the other day and they were maps that you need to download, Tis a shame cus there are some wicked custom maps out there!

After some months i'm going to have another stab at T2 now. I've tried very hard to get into and enjoy some of the more recent online game offerings. But, there's just nothing quite like the open landscapes, freedom, teamwork, vehicles and weapons of Tribes 2. I left it some months ago because gamers I knew and played with were putting it on the back shelf after the fiasco of bugs and issues. Although I never suffered such problems I did find fewer insentives to play on.

I do hope the pending re-release and the game's unique qualities offer this game another chance, it deserves it.

It looks like the final version of the patch is being Beta tested. Therefore we should see a release within the next couple of weeks.
