About 12 of my mates have preordered it for the coop game! we are zombie whores though

The only things i've heard are mostly graphical glitches such as pop in textures, almost every review i've read so far they said they had a great time with the game.

If your going purely on the public's opinion then i've seen nothing but praise in forums.

The game sounds great and at a metacritic of 7.5 i'd say it's good, but then again i know a lot of people who consider anything below an 8.5 a bad game.

The big gripe I read in the Joystiq review is that the weapons degrade/break really easily so a huge part of the game is scavenging over and over for weapons and losing weapons you like/enjoy using very quickly. The argument probably for this is that, for some, that kind of thing is very enjoyable. I kind of like shooting zombies and not meleeing them, especially in first person, which is the main thing that makes this game not immediately appeal to me.

I'm with Eksdee to a certain degree, I much prfer shooting them in the face over and over

I thought this might be a nice change of pace as far as zombie games go, and I'm only gonna play it on Coop mode. It will pass the time until BF3 anyway!

Wonder if it's sh*t due to silly expectations, due to actual bad gameplay(story don't count, it's a f*cking zombie game ), or because the marketing originally sold it with a more artful concept. Which is basically problem one.

Seconded looks like a good/fun game but its just stealing some of L4D's thunder so I want to know if its worth the money or not thus i'll wait for a few weeks after release to see how it is.

Loved L4D so hope this lives up to the hype, that said my pc could barely handle a horde in L4D2 so would I be fucked on this?

Played it for about 4 hours on co op with a friend, great game throughly recommended if you love Zombie games.

Highlights so far graphics are pretty nice but the best bits have to be drowning a zombie and breaking a zombies arms and watching them painfully flail around while he's trying to hit me.

Clearly the developers haven't, but its absolutely hilarious, the Zombies will also run full speed into lamp posts just a fun game so far can't wait to play again later today.

so far, mediocre tbh

single player - not worth it
multiplayer - get some friends.
had mine set to "open online coop" while i was pootling around at start, had random people join, hit me with oars, hop around , try to rush to objectives, etc.

had a go later with a mate, seemed quite good, like the scope, the vehicles, etc.
the 2-stage looting is wank
and the "cant turn off your mic" is shit aswell

so end of the day:
Solo - dont bother with it
group of mates - not too bad, could do with some tweaking tho

Fun while it lasted atleast finished it and basically got instantly bored because it has zero replayability (its also quite short tbh)

Things I liked:

Graphics
Gameplay (loved being able to break/cut zombies arms off)
Items/crafting

Things I disliked:

Length of the game
Nothing to do the second time around
No character respecs available (yet)
Not much variety in the talent tree's
Not enough zombie models (I expect such games to have zombies that look the same due to the sheer number of zombies but there was still wayyyy too few here - it just felt the same all the time)
Most quests were ultra boring/effortless
No option to turn off ingame voice chat <--- that was probably the biggest killer for me

Needless to say I won't be investing in any future DLC for the game as I doubt it'll be worth while, I don't mind the £29 I paid for the game as it gave me and a few friends a good laugh for a few hours.
