Darkness Falls crashes

Please help me!
I can't even play in Darkness Falls because the game freezes and hangs my PC every few minutes. I have to reboot. I have never had this problem in the many months I've been playing and it never happens in any zone other than DF. HELP!

FYI my system is an Athlon 1700xp with 384mb RAM and a Radeon 8500 card.

ok...troubleshooting time..did it start after a patch? have you recently installed something? do you have the updated driver for your chipset?
