DAOC Trailer

Some friends at work today were showing off the new Ryzom demo and its lush graphics, theve also touted some screenshots from WoW and info on EQ2, i was just about to show them the DOAC site, then I stopped... stood back... have the screenshots section and the general Trailer ever been updated ? The game is now over 2 years old and has gone through 2 graphics engine updates with a 3rd on the way !! The screenshots I saw were of the old grey dull interface, and well... i felt ashamed to show this.

Many people have produced short movies and many have some nice screenshots , how about a GOA compertition to help get the main site updated.

Submit a screenshot that gets selected and used on the site = a weeks free membership
Sumbit a full movie, no more than 5 mins and 50mb in size, the best submision wins a full years free membership.

Just a thought.
(Heres hoping our GM friends read this post too, or if someone from E&E could sugest it on the forums?)

sounds like a good idea, but the movie wouldnt be awarded more than a month tbh since a year = 12x£8 = £96

IMHO a movie is worth a years subs - the time taken to make a good quality trailer for DAOC to replace the existing one would be well worth the £100 to GOA

Ryzom graphics better than DAoC? No way - Ryzom is the ugliest game I've seen in a while. The screen fonts used are abysmal, the animation is shite and the charater models are basic, to say the least.
