DAoC through a proxy?

Greetings!
Just recently got a´nother NIC in my main stationary comp running win 98SE. Got a crossover cable and connected it with me laptop, and also installed a proxy to share the internet connection. Although here's when the probs began :-/

I can surf the web just fine, and DL stuff and so, although I can't start daoc or any other game for that matter. I was thinking that it is perhaps due to that it can't be run through a proxy?

So anyone know of a way to get around this? I don't want to get a router yet as it will be deliverd one with my new comp inc in about a month, so this is more of a temp solution...

Appreciate any help ;-)

Cheers! :)

If they are both running 98SE and over, you dont need any proxy software, just enable Internet Connection Sharing.
