Can u make class-rp / num-class
?
That would give average rp for a player of a given class, maybe restrain the characters to 45+.

Having had a quick look there doesn't appear to be anyone below lvl 47 in the top 500 list, if anyone can point me at a list with everyone in I will re-run the stats with a larger sample as 500 is probably a little bit small given the server population.

I now have a snapshot of the approximately 20000 characters that are on Excalibur across all 3 realms. I have race, class, level and rps for each player, and I can munge that data in lots of different ways quite easily.

I was astonished to see all the extra wizards, but 200 extra infils and shadowblades feels about right... not too many people rolling hunters these days.

Those figures only show active players; inactive players and expired accounts are automatically deleted from the XML.

Unfortunately I don't keep snapshots of the data, so I can't go back and plot the evolution over time, but from having occasionally done the summary, I can tell you that there was a big surge with the 1.49 patch and then the number of active characters on Excalibur has been slowly rising since August.

This guy, however, has been plotting the server population from the number of people who are actually logged on playing. Here's the graph of the past two months.

Certainly no dramatic drop-off to be seen, in fact it looks pretty steady.

I can belive the amount Wizards, the alb zerg seem to be a mass of skinny looking dudes in cloth, with a few lonely tanks running around at the front.
