DAOC on WIN xp on a laptop :(

Please help...and please dont flame if its already been discussed.

I have loaded DAOC on my laptop which has a graphics card that will run DAOC.
But when i run the exe it does nothing at all ....i dont even have a screen come up.....just plain old windows.

Anyone that has any advice please help....would be most appreciated.

have you got all the latest driver directx 8.1b and the sort

But seriously though.... i hate the XP version of Windows, it doesnt give any explanations ever apart from offering you to report the error via internet.

You sure you have latest drivers for your GFX and DirectX 8,1 installed and theres everything fine with your firewall ?

Yes..ive checked dx versions and gc drivers and they are uptodate.....gonna try running it in compatability mode within XP...will see how it goes.

Funny thing is ive had it working months ago on this same laptop but with win 2000 os.

LOL...will keep trying.

i had it running on my laptop (win xp) and it worked fine beside the gfx was shit

i downloaded the latest directX and gfx drivers.
