DAoC-Europe copy?

Hi. I'm stationed in Germany at the moment, and I've been playing DAoC on the American servers for a while now.. but I've found them lacking due to time zone differences. I'm having trouble finding an English copy of DAoC for Europe around here, so I'm wondering.. does anyone know where I can buy a copy online? I plan on playing on a UK server.

I've tried amazon.uk, btw, and they don't ship to APO boxes.

Try Ebay,isnt very easy to get a english copy of the game in germanys gamestores.

You can play with the German Version on the English Servers but then are some Icons in German Language.

You dont need a Eu game cd to play it . all you need to do is get a Eu account and adjust the info in the game update file from the usa version to Eu version . same as you do with eu accs to paly on gorre .

You can order the game in English from quite a few stores, it may take a week or so to arrive, but its worth it : )

You can actually buy the German version and patch it to English by replacing 'german' in the update.dat with 'english'.

That's how I did it.

Can anyone confirm what yoda said above about not needing a Euro version of the software? If he/she's right, that would save me money.

I can confirm this. I used 1.50 euro version to patch to 1.52 us version ( from 1.46 us version ) just by changing my update.dat file.

I tried making a Euro account through camelot-europe.com using my old CD Key.. and for whatever reason, it is saying the key is invalid. I just copied and pasted the key from my regular login.

Any ideas?

while you can use the us cd, you still need a euro account/cdkey

www.amazon.co.uk should be able to ship you a copy of euro daoc

Yes... but he is stationed in Germany - so the easiest (quickest) way to get playing, is to use the US cd to install and to buy a German copy for the CD code.
