DAoC and DirectX 9.0

Has anyone downloaded DirectX 9 ?

Could you give any indication of compatibility with DAoC ? These things are always supposed to be backwards compatible but we know what that means...

Downloaded it, and installed after I installed my latest chipset drivers, then the latest graphic card drivers.

No problem at all, lovely piece of software. Game actually runs a little better!

DX is completely backwards compatible. Both its major strength and weakness.

Whether it works or not is as much down to the standard of your cards drivers as anything else. If you have something popular then there wont be a problem.

Major bugs in the geometry setup engine, expect a fix in a month or so when the new Nvidia and Ati cards ship. The bugs cause deformations to objects that weren't intended and seems to be more of a compatiblity issue with games wrote for DX7 and DX8.
