Admittedly that state would have lasted approximately 2 days (hours?) but it would have been fun to call you "n00b"

If one can get past the log-in servers its actually a rather fine game. Faster levelling than DAOC, a real end game, better skill and training system. Oh and scouts actually have a use

Being able to build your own cities is rather a fine idea. There are lots of politics involved in the game too - so although the 1337 crowd might have a few level 60's they also tend to wind up the, err, 'more balanced' players.

So being good at gaming isn't all there is to it -- you need to be a good communicator, establish a good reputation, sell your guild to others and maintain its reputation.

Alternatively there are those who just want to PK everyone and anyone ... but there are just as many who want to play anti-PK'ers.

The end game in SB is what the players make it. On some servers that sucks, but, thankfully, on mine its pretty darn interesting with lots of Machievellian schemes going on.

No word on the European version -- seems to be tied up in legalities and technicalities.

Rubber banding and lag is still causing problems, but WP & Ubi think they've got the solution sorted and are promising a fix asap. Log-in servers, ditto.

To be fair it's been one of the worst launches of a game that I can remember (and I've been around for a while ). But the game itself is a good one and I'm sticking with it till its sorted.

Yes there are roleplayers, and roleplay guilds! Amazingly there roleplay goes rather deeper than marriage and cyber sessions too All the servers are having events - the current one is the invasion into the realm by the God of Chaos, involving mucho destruction by huge monsters and millions of demons.

Unfortunately my guild had its city destroyed and now I can't train any of my characters. Bloody roleplayers <mutters....>
