I'm not sure how its been over the last year with lotto's and drops from raid and stuff but one thing i have always tried to maintain is drop, specially the major ones go somewhere they will be used and not just as a matter of greed. Ok first time round we all needed things so wasn't much of an issue and everything was getting used. I myself was fortunate to get first Blade of Illusions on a roll of 38 cause the raid rules stated you must be able to use it, and the hammer warrior who beat me was excluded by Moriad who was our lotto guy.

The raids i now run are still much the same ethos, I do not abide hording of equipment, or lottoing for things purely to sell it (feel free to flame away). I give away most things i find including scrolls I gavea friend a Regarding Shades 3 of 3 i farmed yesterday cause they needed it. I want it to be perfectly clear If you are NOT going to actively use the item lotto'ed on my raids do NOT roll for it. There people from smaller guilds and alliance casual players who only get the opportunity to go on occasional raids and can't farm to 60p people ask for items who would greatly beneit from such items and it would make their enjoyment of the raid and the whole daoc expereince far better knowing they have a chance to get such shinies.

I banned someone from attending my raids today for the first time. I will ask more people not to attend in the future if the greedy trend I've discovered in Midgard upon my return continues. Please accept the etiquette and hospitality of my raids or I'll stop doing them. I do enjoy running raids and yesterdays ml6.9 .10 and ml7 raid ran smoothly.

Agree with what you say and want to do, unfortunately I dont think its possible, because as I said yesterday in the ML6 raid when you said the Chimera vest was only for mystics to lotto for, I saw mystics in GoV rolling who are hardly going to use it

Imo sojik's raid rules are OK and got no problems of going to his raids. They run smoothly (=Fast) - only if he could get his laggy laptop fixed, so half of the zerk wouldn't follow to a certain death

Yeh only been on 1 Durgi raid since he returned (ML7 yesterday) but his raids were always well run in the past, and yesterdays was no exception.

Keep it up :)

Everyone can get 60p it's not a matter of skill or eliteness. Time and a little luck, it's quicker than you think.

I don't think you should only be able to roll for the char you bring tho, I often take my Healer to raids cuz' just face it my RM doesn't help much in raids. So I should be punished for bringing my Healer then and helping out more than with my RM? :>

yeh as coolan said should sort out what you said zebolt

you should list a certain class that you wish to roll for items for, one class only, and should be done at the start of the raid, not when you have seen somthing drop ect, if you dont state at the start its the class you came with ect.

As ive concentrated on getting one class the best i can ive often been punished on raids as if nothing i need drops i dont just roll for one of the 8x50's i have and say i can use it when i will hardly ever play that, and cant even roll for a drop for a friend which would get more use out of the item imo.

i think its been made into a random free for all beacuse leaders see it as a hassle to sort out whos rolling for what class, as for people rolling for say MT3 when they have scalars activated is going onto another level really which is hard to control but do what you can to control people just getting a scroll on a FFA raid and dumping it on merchant for silly prices

I have full respect for your rules Durgi, it's your raids and you shall run them by the rules you think is best.

But for being what you stated as a

I can't say I really think the rules benefits the need of a casual. I have not yet been on a raid where I won something I use in my template. Still I now have a very decent one with JS, MT, GoV, Tart, CB, CS. Thíngs I have traded or bought for plats I have got from selling stuff I won from raids. And I can't see any harm in that tbh. It's not like the guy who buy the stuff not need it? So if I was not allowed to roll for stuff I not needed or sell and trade. I would still stand naked in the rain :(

The thing is that when you only have the opportunity to go on occasional raids, at least you must have the opportunity to roll for stuff otherwise it still benefits only those who can be online 24/7 and can go on every raid.

Well, thats the opinion from what you call "a greedy one" :drink:

Everybody struggle in their own way, and the more stuff there is for sale the lower the prices become.

to avoid the crying and whining about HE CANT USE ITAMZ OMGZ! just do /random 1000 highest pick. Easiest for you. People wont cry coz they all get a chance to roll on it to sell/use. I remember i was always suspicious on raids where i wasn't sure if the person could use it but still could roll for it (you never know if they can)

But you know if they end up in cm most of the time. And in my eyes thats worthy of either a ban or a warning.

sentimos before u go about slinging mud at people, u should perhaps talk to someone who knows the truth, which i know u dont.

And if the raid rules state role for the class u bring, then thats it dosnt matter what u say thats the rules that are put down.

Durgi has nothing to hide about why he re-rolled so as Coolan says, quit the mud slinging.

The rules were clear, auctioning said item on FH which was essentialy rubbing everybodies face in it and was just poor form.
