So, you've made it to a reasonably high level (in my case 40, but I remember this being a problem loooong before then) and the next step on the xp ladder is unfortunately Lyonesse.

So you're waiting round for hours and hours flagged as LFG, and you vaguely remember that Lyon xp is good - but it's been so many weeks since you managed to get a group there that you're beginning to wonder if you dreamt the whole thing ....

And finally you're sick to your back teeth of soloing Dunters and Peallidhs and other such exciting things. And for some sick reason you try looking for a group one last time ...... OMG! There's one in your range flagging !!! Quick /send a message ....

And wait ....

And wait ....

And wait .......

...So I'll take that as a no then ?



Come on people! I know groups can be hectic, but really, how long does it take to type '/r sorry full' or similar ?

I would say a good half of the groups I ask about joining just blank me altogether. Not many less 'uuum....we're not flagged' (aaargh!) about 1 in 6, I get a group for an hour or so before it all falls to pieces.

I hate Lyonesse. I really do.

cricky you're a merc as well they are super in groups.....

Hendrick and Thorr come to mind in my past....... hitting like a train don't really do them justice.

Personally Tagetes, I've hated Lyon for the past 4 months - and I'm still only 44.

Take it easy, and actually enjoy the levelling instead of feeling pressured (MUST HIT 50!).

Talk to your guild, and use them. It's the case in Phoenix Legion, and I'm sure many other guilds, that if you want to set up a Darkness Falls group, you'll most likely form one fairly easily. Succubi/Mahr/Nightmare groups are fantastic experience for the early 40s - I spend 4 months in Lyonesse getting from 40-43 (when not crafting, of course), then I really started looking at Darkness Falls. I did 43-44 in about a week there.

This is the problem i had.I was more concerned about trying to enjoy the game than reach 50. Far too many people are XP obseesed.Personally lvl 50 is overrated.Ok theres no more worrying about XP the only worry is what to do next

heh...i remember w8in for 5 hours in lyon for a party once
i even gave up partys and tryed to solo from 48 to 50

my advise would be not to bother with lyon, unless its the weekend or somthin..mabe more ppl there, besides half the time u c a group in lyon on the /find list its the find bug and there not actaully flaged.

go df, hulks + knights is better xp anyhows.
or ya could try find 15 other albs with the same prob, write all there names down, and run around dm every night. stone lords and oricles is good xp, and itams r always nice =]

dont get anoyed by been ignored by a group though, tis gonna happen alot before u get 50 =[
