hi there

i was going up a steeparse hill and i was doing some funky gear changes. well, my chain popped out.
no problem normally, but my chain popped out of a little bit near a cog on the bottom (i think its called the rear derailleur). theres a little bit of metal that stops the chain from getting out so i have NO idea how i managed this.

any ideas how to fix?

lol that's what I thought. I don't know how you managed that though.
i think you can use an allen tool (or hex wrench same thing) to undo the bolt holding the bottom sprocket. use it to push the chain back in between the arms, then slip the bolt back through and tighten.

check the whole thing for functional damage though, or have a bike shop do it, as imo what you've managed isn't supposed to happen :)
