I do a fair amount of cycling, and its very hard to hear my phone ringing in my pocket. Does anybody know where I can get a basic clip, to hold my nokia 6310 on the handlebars? I not a showoff or anything, but I get calls about work when I'm out and I can't afford to miss them.

You can't feel it vibrate through the pocket, but thanks for the thought.

Get a hands free kit.

I was thinking about getting a Bluetooth handsfree, but its not very safe when cycling around.

I just need something to hold the phone onto the handlebars, so I can hear it ring and stop/answer more quickly.

Tom,

How about a handsfree set with earpiece and set the phone to Autoanswer when headset is plugged in?

Its the wearing of the headset thats dangerous, and unless its bluetooth I can't be arsed with runnign wires down my shirt

Why not just put a basket which has frilly bows and ties onto the front of your bike? and then you dont need all this high-tech whatchu-callits.. simple!

Wouldnt it be a little hard to actually use the handbrake if it had a phone strapped to it?

Am I the only one that sees a more "personal" use for that?

by miles the best suggestion so far; there's your answer. You can also keep sandwiches in there and anything else you might need.

mank!

mmmmmmm, sandwiches. I think Tom may be concerned about riding a bike that makes him look like Nora Batty though.

he could get a man's basket, you know like those new men's bag things, and if there isn't such a thing there should be! I can see it now, all chrome and menace; get out of my way!:)

I can't ride without tunes, I end up going nowhere. Everywhere I go (street/urban/trick/etc) I have to have my headphones on :( Had a few close misses in the past, but all in all no problems.

*kiss of death - was nice knowing you all :( *

I have my headphones on all the time while cycling, tbh I've yet to fly over the bonnet of a car :)

Don't know of any handlebar clips, but I do know of this great new invention called a "Missed Calls List". It's great, you can call people back and everything.

all well and good if you don't mind missing calls, not so good if you need to answer them as they come in...

This is designed for PDAs, but I'm sure it could easily be adapted.

Knowing how fragile my Ipaq is, I don't think I'll be doing that!
