Spotted this on planethalflife who report News.com.au, a news website in Australia, has an article about parents leaving children overnight at cyber cafes to play "violent games" for up to 24 hours.

A Sunday Mail investigation has found children as young as 12 are being dropped off by parents for "lock-ins" - overnight game sessions that can attract up to 40 youngsters.

According to the report the cyber cafes are used as child care for children as young as 8 are being left all day while their parents work.

The article also refers to the "gaming related" murder in the UK that has been plastered all over the news recently, claiming situations like this could be the cause of it.

Another example of the media in action *sigh*

I mean i done that all the time..... Thiers times when ive gone for 72hours without sleep thoo ive made my self ill off that and I knew I was doing it to me self I just wanted to play CS that much back then.

What a lot of the new sites are missing from this comment:

"This week, a British teenager faced murder charges after killing his friend, apparently prompted by such a game."

The person was 17 years old the game in quesiton was Manhunt rated a 18 year old game....

I really disslike news sites and the News in all as they twist and manipulate things to make it more intresting!

You think what could be 1 month up to 12 months of growing up would have made a difference? Age isn't the issue, he had to have something wrong with him to be able to kill.

Anyway, this has all been discussed elsewhere.
