customising cs

have been playing original cs for a while,eg havent customised it at all,just wondering if you guys have and what have you changed from the original game,oh and any good webbys would be great.

But getting back to sccobs question.

I've heard changing defualt skins can be detramental to your frame rate. SO unless you have teh ninja pc i would ph34r the ev!l skins.

Well, I've changed...

I use the min_models setting, so all T's and CT's look alike.

My console is black, with tiny white text. You need the Halflife SDK to do the black console, which you can download from Valve.

Errr, thats about it. I thought I had done loads, but I guess I haven't.

Well, my config is a bit more "out there" than most.

I went back to using default models. I just find them easier to hit with.

Im almost the same as itcheh.

changed the console text colour (config)

changed the zoomed xhair colour to blue. (customise)

Everything else, apart from controls, rate etc have been left as per the install.

Also use the minmodel option - makes it simpler for us country hicks.

Previously I did mess about with different weapon / player skins, cba to do it again

Change the guns. The guns look shit mostly. You can get nice replacements that look like the originals but better. My AK-47 skin is a thing of beauty
make sure they are similar to the originals tho, or you'l get Skyler going on at you

Theres a hi-poly std pack if you're nervous that are EXACTLY the same but prettier, to start with .

I've changed rates and a whole heap of other stuff.
Before I formatted I had a custom self made gui ie when you load CS up, it was all blue and lovely
custom console pic and stuff, changed ingame font colour etc.

Only thing thats default are the ingame models

Changed all my skins a while ago, but back to defaults now.
Changed rates and I have 2 desktop (ie:gfx card) settings, normal and brighter than normal. By doing this there are no dark hiding places Looks more natural too. Also use various soundpacks to enhance some of the dull weapon sounds.

You have to take demos or screenshots from time to time
Thats why I use hi-poly weapons that look nice, but have the same shape as the original.

I dont like the League Rules as such, i mean, whats the Point in playing a Game with Skins that are as Old as your Grandma? I like to stay with the Times, and if that means Updating Skins (As long as they aint too conspicuous (sp) i dont mind

Well, I dont use AK's that are 14 foot long with a grenade launcher attatched so that I can see people hiding or anything, like I say just the standard stuff but nicer. Ive played in a few seasons worth of league matches, and never had no complaints.
