Custom Maps

I've downloaded all the custom maps from the BW ftp site and they work, the problem is just before it goes into the game on say extraction, the console moves away and i just see;

couldn't exec mapdefault.cfg
couldn't exec extraction.cfg

Are these files missing or are they not there on purpose?

.cfg files can be made by the player so that for instance you can bind message keys corresponding to the map.
So for 2fort - you would have flag related messages and rock2, key related messages...

very flexible

so you can ignore them messages...
