Custom maps for FFA League

Lo Bigfoot and Athena, any chance of some custom maps for next seasons FFA league or even a voting page ?

The current DM maps are getting very tired - and there are some outstanding custom maps out there eg Coriolis Storm, Q3Mexx and others. I think it would provide a bit of spice to the proceedings although I can appreciate that for some modem users it could be quite a pain to download any customs

Anyway, what do you think? Anyone else want some custom maps?

I think we will either use 1 from the DM League (Q3Mexx1 or ZTN3DM1) or perhaps KAOS which is more FFA-styled and which seems very popular.

Due to the huge inconvenience of players of having to download a possible selection of custom maps to be played in the FFA League the 2 most likely candidates will be:

BloodRun - ZTN3DM1. Many will have played this map in the BarrysWorld Q3 Deatchmatch League or

KAOS

Lo Athena sounds good.

Bloodrun - great map - should be a blast to play - will be quite fast for the divisions that get a full turnout.

Kaos - also great - bigger and a bit different strategy wise - will be slower - might be slow if you get a div with only 3 or 4 showing.

Both of these are also relatively small to d/l so should be no probs for the modem peeps.

How about mixing these then with say DM9, which hasnt been used so far in the league but is quite popular as far as I can see. How about holding a vote on the IRC next time its busy for the final map?

Also guys, you mentioned you would be changing format for next time due to certain no shows. Have you decided what this will be ?
