Cursor freeze in windows

Hi

Just got hl all patched up today to give this CS thing a bash. It's very difficult to stay alive!!! :/
anyway ................ every time I quit the game, it comes back to windows and my mouse cursor is just stuck and will not move. I seem to be able to use windows ok with the key strokes, but the mouse cursor is just stuck!
It's win me, ms intellieye usb mouse.
Any ideas?

I dont have any experience using 'me' but because this is an optical mouse, there is obviously software needed to run it. The windows 'me' like 'win2k' may have problems running games and/or certain software. The software that came with your optical mouse may be causing conflicts with 'me'

Try reinstalling the mouse software and/or reconfiguring your settings to let CS run in 'window mode' as opposed to the full screen that the game normally runs in. This forces the computer to let the mouse move over the CS window like it was any other program.

If you havnt already, you may want to update your system by checking the microsoft website and also downloading the latest DirectX (8.0)
