Since the original American war of the worlds was nothing like the original H G Wells story, I hardly see how this is cultural rape.

its just the constant "our own take" on old films that seems to be incessant at the moment thats pissing me off.

I've seen two good films at the cinema this year so far.

What exactly is wrong with directors wanting to remake old films? As well as trying to make money some must be doing it because they think they can do a better job or have their own vision of how it should have been made.

Personally, I'd fear the fact that the Crusier is also involved

Let's hope he's playing one of the aliens that dies of the flu.
