oi!

£39.99 or £36.99 with membership which costs £6 a year, not £29.99, and have a care you horrible man. Can you imagine the reaction of my bosses to an advert for a direct competitor?
I'll leave it for now, as this is a community forum but purlease...

the problem with your "bosses" is they consistently overprice everything... my sister works for them, and thus i get stuff on le cheap... but if i didn't i can't imagine buying anything from them anymore... not when i can get stuff cheaper elsewhere.

case in point the website...

why not use the website to sell games cheaper? cos if ya buying online, it's gotta be delivered whatever... so why by from EB or Game and pay a hefty price, when you can get whatever product at a good £5-10 less INC. delivery!

Problem is you under cut your own products in the store and then people ask too many questions.

Hehe, I didnt say my bosses were wonderful and offered the best prices and stuff, I just said they were my bosses :whip: and it seems only fair to them, as they do pay the bills round here.
If their prices were always that far out, their profits wouldnt have been up 102% last year, but I take your point, sometimes its hard to argue with.

Its no more entertaining than its last edition though.....

but its last edition was widely hailed as one of the best games ever...how can a version with hugely improved graphics and more tracks and a better joypad to play it with be shite?

Off the top of my head, I can't think of another high street company thats sells just games, all over the UK. So its not hard for them to corner the market.

My biggest gripe with the whole EB saga [and its not a big one, I shop with neither] is that the game & EB websites are identical in content. Kind of silly.

exactly

absolutely style and content identical. mere different colour schemes.

when i do use them tho, i use the EB one out of well.... colour preference :p

Halfway through a custom league season atm, on "beginner" just to get me used to the controls etc again, but it is proving v. v. easy.

I'll finish it off and go for next level up methinks.

i got bored waiting for my order from play.com to come thru so i went and brought star wars and ISS2 from EB - my plan is to give them a good play over the weekend and then take em back for a refund :)

After a quick play on the 2 games - Star wars seems wicked, first level was good fun. even tho i died :)

ISS2 seems ok, control ain't as tight as the N64 but ain't bad - they appear to have made the thru ball less acurate, probably os it was the button to use on the N64's version. Beginner setting does make it easier.

Just need to get used to it abit

How many of us do this........ how the hell do EB keep going?? I know people who buy PC games, use clone CD and then take the game back......... EB used to be a good place to buy software etc but now its part of Game, its just as expensive ...... i.e Game are a bloody rip off!!
