CSVS League

Hi,

I'm in the process of developing a CS league which is nearly ready.
The main site is at www.csvs.co.uk and the league is at
www.csvs.co.uk/league. Tell me what you think.
Anyone willing to sponsor us (provide a server for example) would get
something like an advert at the top of 1/2 of the pages or something along
those lines which could be discussed. Email if you are interested.

Nope, haven't got round to writing that yet, i'll get it done by tomorrow when we start accepting clan signups offically (now that I have got the php side of the league nearly complete).

[A&I] might well be interested if its gonna be an efficiently run, decent league, as for servers... BW kinda already has a CS League , so it'd prolly be best to look elsewhere for those.

Well each clan plays each other twice - once at 'home' (where you can choose the server, or use our own one) and once 'away'.

The points to be awarded havent really been decided yet, but as it stands the system i have coded is awarding 3 points for a win and 1 point for a draw (not unlike the football league )

Screenshots are required for each match and the results submitted are checked against the screenshots and any conflicts are looked into. (Demo's are required and must be uploaded upon request).

We don't have any servers yet, im looking at the options. The most likely one is that it comes out of my £0 per hour earnings for coding the site (e.g. my savings). Thats why I'm looking for sponsorship.

Most of the league system is in place and should be ready in a couple of weeks.

What do you think?

I think you'll have a lot of trouble finding a sponser as every GSP already has a CS league. Your very unlikely to get someone to lend you a server for CS, its to popular and catered for league wise. Unless you pay for or own your own servers I don't see your league taking off at all.

Actually someone who is on the team has links to a server company and we are seeing what sponsorship we can sort out.

Otherwise I will have to pay.

If you let clans use their own servers you will also create problems, some servers may be better than others. Some poeple have better pings to BW, some to Jolt. I know each clan has a home and away match in your format, but some clans may have a huge advantage server wise.
